Garla Glover-Smith

AND CREATOR OF THE FLUID CAREER

Garla Glover-Smith is a career coach, seasoned recruiter and owner of Smart Moms. She has delivered over 8000 hours of career coaching services and completed her Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification, which enables her to provide standardized career development skills to her clients through her signature coaching program – Fluid Career.
When Garla was just 18 years old, she watched her mother experience her first stroke at the age of 49 after working a full-time job and two part-time jobs to ensure additional income for the family. This real life imbalance caused a calling in Garla that led to helping women navigate worklife balance and it is the inspiration behind Smart Moms which she co-founded with another mom. Garla became the sole owner in 2010.
While spearheading the growth of Smart Moms, Garla was also raising two daughters to place high value on community involvement. Leading by example, she is active in the National Association of Businesses and Employers (NACE), Business and Professional Women (BPW) and Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA). These community resources and connections allow Smart Moms to establish an edge among recruiters for remote jobs.
