Smart Moms is actively recruiting on behalf of our respected technology client in the Raleigh-Durham area, seeking a talented Bookkeeper to play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth financial operations of their office. Location: Raleigh, NC (Near downtown) -On-site with the possibility of remote after a period of time

Type: Part-Time (15 – 24 hours/week)
Maintain Accurate Financial Records:
Record and manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions and address discrepancies promptly.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage invoices, bills, and payments, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping. Follow up on outstanding payments and collaborate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies.
Track and categorize company expenses, filing and recording receipts and documentation properly.
Ensure accurate tracking and receiving of purchased equipment, communicate daily updates to the IT department, and promptly identify and report any discrepancies in received equipment or pricing changes.
Monitor and keep abreast of vendor pricing updates.
Assist in processing payroll, including calculating hours worked, preparing paychecks, commissions calculations, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Generate regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Present financial information to the management team as needed.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of financial audits and compliance reviews.
Certificate, Associate, or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Knowledge of accounting software such as Quickbooks or Xero. Experience with CRM systems like HaloPSA and ZoHO is a plus.
Proficiency in various softwares including Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with internal personnel and clients.
$24/hr, paid twice a month.
